Over 1,600 Castle Pines citizens signed two petitions this past summer to ensure two important questions (city charter amendments) are listed on this November's ballot:
Ballot Question 300: to require voter approval of land annexations over 20 acres
Ballot Question 301: to require voter approval of land annexations over 20 acres that are requested to be annexed between now and November 3rd.

We are a dedicated group of Castle Pines residents united by a shared commitment to preserving the natural beauty, open spaces, and low-density character that define our community. Bound by a passion for responsible growth, we came together to amplify the voices of neighbors who care deeply about protecting our local wildlife habitats and safeguarding the unique environment we call home. Driven by this purpose, we stood outside of local shops, attended community events, and knocked on doors to collect over 1,600 signatures to bring two crucial charter amendments to this November’s ballot. These two questions empower us all to shape the future of land development in Castle Pines.

We are dedicated to securing the voter’s right to approve or reject city annexations over 20 acres.
Why should voters support these charter amendments?
We need to ensure that our elected officials are acting in our best interests. Voter-approved annexation will remove the influence of developer money on annexation decisions.
Doesn’t the city have an annexation policy and won’t these charter amendments interfere with it?
Voter-approved annexation will strengthen the current annexation policy by promoting full voter engagement.
How will voter approval annexations change the current annexation process?
Voter approval will add an essential step ensuring citizen input, avoiding irresponsible growth at taxpayers’ expense.
